Every Ramadan, I will always remember my dad’s ‘keeping me
on my toes question’.
And the question was -
…. ‘Juzuk berapa dah baca Quran sekarang?’ (How many
chapters of Quran have you recited up to now?)❤️
He asked this question many many times throughout Ramadan😍
Every single year. Without fail.
Ever since I was small until his very last Ramadan with us -
which when I was already over 40 years old!
I guess in his eyes we (me & my siblings) are all still
his little children even when we have our own little children ourselves 😅
And now I asked Tariq this same question 🥰
Many many times too throughout Ramadan 😅🥰
…… Tariq, Juzuk berapa dah baca Quran sekarang, sayang..?

And now I get it why my dad loves to ask us this simple yet
important question.
Coz every time I asked Tariq, his answer always brings joy
and happiness to my heart, Alhamdulillah 🥰
It makes me know that he is on track.
That he is reciting Quran this Ramadan, Alhamdulillah.
That he is following the practises on Rasulullah SAW and his
sahabah, InshaAllah.
That he is learning to love the Quran and InshaAllah Quran loves him too,
Aamiin ya Allah.
That he is building his relationship with his Quran,
Alhamdulillah.
And that he is preparing for his life in the hereafter,
InshaAllah.
Thank you Abah for always keeping me on my toes, for always
checking on my Quran recitation during Ramadan.
And now your grandson is benefitting from your questions
too, InshaAllah😍
May you and mum continue to receive all the good deeds and
practises and beneficial knowledge you both have taught us all.
May we all be together again in His Jannatul Firdaus, Aamiin
