Understood and Internalized : Inspirational Story as a Parent

That day in Ramadan, as he got into the car, Tariq excitedly told me..,

... Mama, just now Tariq played with a baby kitten. Her mummy was not there. Then when Tariq wanted to leave, Tariq put the kitten inside a basket of a nearby bicycle.., he said grinning happily 🐱🐱🐱

... Sayang, is that where you found the kitten in the first place..?, I asked

... No Mama.. Tariq found the kitten in another place.., he answered

... Then why did you move the kitten and put it at another place?..., I probed further

... Do you know, its mummy will become very distressed looking for her baby.., I said very unpleased with what Tariq did

... What if in the Day of Judgement that mummy kitten tell Allah what you did..

... What if the mummy couldn't find its baby and then its baby died out of hunger..

.... What if a dog come and eat that baby kitten as it could not defend itself as its mummy was not there.., I asked Tariq

There was a good few seconds of silence...

Suddenly I heard Tariq's voice whispering to himself quietly..

اللَّـهُـمَّ إنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُـحِبُّ العَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma Innaka ‘Afuwwun Tuhibbul ‘Afwa Fa’fu ‘Annii

( O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me)

SubhanAllah MashaAllah TabarakAllah..

Ya Allah!! 😭🥰😭🥰

My face lights up with joy and my heart beats with bliss hearing Tariq making that Zikir!

Allah has just shown me that Tariq really understood and internalized the duaa that I taught him to recite especially during this Ramadan..

That Allah not only forgives him, but also erase that bad thing he did from his record as if he has never done it before, ever!

Thank you Allah..

What a beautiful day that was for me, Alhamdulillah!! 🥰🥰
