Baba Medical School : Inspirational Story as a Parent

 

Last weekend, Tariq continues to learn some medical stuff at his 'Baba Medical School'!🥰🥰

And what did he learn last weekend?

The one thing that can help double or triple a person's chance of surviving a cardiac arrest OR if a person is not breathing, inshaAllah!

The Chest Compressions and Rescue Breaths or famously known as CPR!🏅🏅🏅

Alhamdulillah!

Why CPR?

With Covid still around, I am sure the public will hesitate to give CPR to just anyone as it involves mouth to mouth rescue breathing. But, a family member will not hesitate a second to give CPR to another family member making CPR a critical knowledge for every person to have.

Thus, we decided that Tariq should learn CPR too!

So, Tariq learn how to open the airway to check if the person is breathing and check for obstruction, if any.

He also learns how to kneel, where to position the heel of his hand, how to interlock and lace his fingers, how to lean forward, lock his elbow and press down the patient's chest, and how to give the rescue breaths, MashaAllah!

It was so awesome to see Tariq learning the right techniques from his Baba, alhamdulillah.

Then Mama added a bit by reminding Tariq to continuously recite Ya Shafi Ya Shafi Ya Shafi  as only Allah can heal anyone He wishes.

Tariq repeated and practised on Mama and Baba until you were fully satisfied!

Well done our little healer, inshaAllah! 🥰🥰

Make sure the person is not breathing by checking for air flow at his nose..

Tilt the head and lift the chin to open the airway.. Pull down the chin if you will and let the mouth fall open slightly..

Make sure nothing is blocking the airway

Lean forward so your body weight is used to compress the chest... Like this Tariq.., said Baba..
