Becoming Better is a Work in Progress : Inspirational Story as a Parent

This weekend, Tariq competed in ASUM/NSC/MILO Junior Splash Swim 2019 in Melaka.

And MashaAllah TabarakAllah, Tariq broke his own personal best timing record in all the events he competed in!!🥰🥰🥰

He is becoming faster and faster Alhamdulillah MashaAllah TabarakAllah!!💕💕💕

And the happiest achievement for Tariq was when he broke his own record and swam under 50 seconds for his 50m Freestyle for the very first time, MashaAllah TabarakAllah!! 😍

To think just less than 36 months ago, Tariq took more than 3 minutes to swim the same distance!

So Well done, sayang!! 🌟🌟🌟

We are so so proud of you Alhamdulillah 😘😘😘

And during this Swim Meet too, Tariq witnessed several meet records being broken by other senior swimmers by merely a few millisecond!

... See sayang.., that 0.00.20 seconds which that swimmer in Lane 3 swam faster breaking the Meet Record and putting his name as the fastest record holder in that event..

.. that 0:00.20 seconds could come from doing only 3 extra pumpings every single day.. or from only  1 extra kangaroo jump every single day..., I said to Tariq

...those little little extras that he made.. consistently... every single day... over a period of time..

... that could be where he got that 0:00.20 seconds of extra speed and make him the Champion and a Record Holder.., I said to Tariq

I wanted Tariq to understand that becoming better is Work in Progress.

I wanted him to understand that doing those few swimming drills his beloved Coach Irene Hisham taught him to do every single day will have big impact for his future timing and speed..

And most of all, I wanted Tariq to understand that it is the little little things that he consistently does over time that counts..

And swimming under the guidance of the amazing Coach Irene and Coach Abie have provided Tariq the perfect opportunity to learn just that, alhamdulillah!!🥰❤

So thank you our dearest Coaches!!

Tariq couldn’t have done it without your guidance!🤩😘😘

And I am truly grateful and thankful to Allah beyond words can express for all Tariq’s achievements this wonderful and beautiful weekend, Alhamdulillah!!

Feedback routine after every swim! Coach Irene Hisham will give a personal feedback on each and every of her swimmers on their performance for every single event they swim. And every swimmers must explain too what they did to Coach Irene.

Here Tariq told Coach Irene that he couldn’t feel his legs when he was doing his Butterfly 50m. 😂

Coach, when my hand do the fly, I feel my leg disconnected from my body and cannot move!!😂

Before leaving for his heat, every swimmer must see Coach Irene.

I taught Tariq to manage his emotions by doing the correct breathing techniques.. MashaAllah TabarakAllah.. Good job Tariq ❤️

A truly tired swimmer after a wonderful swimming day! Tariq immediately fall asleep the moment he got into the car..

Always remember sayang, it is always 80% spiritual and 20% effort.. ❤️

Tariq in his amazing performance breaking his own record swimming under 50 seconds for 50m Freestyle MashaAllah TabarakAllah!🤩

Tariq swam the perfect stroke and overtook his opponents one by one.

We can hear his Coaches and team mates cheering for Tariq all the way!

Although Tariq started at Lane 8 which is the lane for the slowest swimmer in a heat, Tariq finished 3rd place in that heat.

Which means he overtook 5 swimmers 🏊 🏊🏊🏊🏊️ in less than 50 seconds!!!

 MashaAllah TabarakAllah!
