Tariq Starting Year One! - Inspirational Story as a Parent

Today is so special.πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

It is Tariq’s first day of school as a Standard One or Year One Elementary student.

It is not as what I expected it to be.

I thought I would cry, I didnt.

My brother, sister and friends thought I would camp inside my car with binoculars watching Tariq from a distance!

But I didn’t.

In fact, I behaved well..

I just became the very last parent who left the school compound... which was at 11.45am..

Okay la kan.. Lol.

And most of all, I thought Tariq would be nervous, he wasn’t.

In fact he was so relax and immediately engaged with his new homeroom Aunty and Uncle and new friends, alhamdulillah!

And seeing him so happy, confident, excited, giggling away, smiling ear to ear in class, put up his hands participating in class, communicate with his teachers, make friends instantly, follow instructions, share his stationaries, queue in line, wash his own plates, go to the washroom himself, ask questions etc..

All those showed me that those 4 years of early education in Brainy Bunch Montessori is well inside him, alhamdulillah!

Thank you Brainy Bunch Kindy and your amazing team!

Needless to say, Mama Baba are so so excited for your new phase, Tariq.

We are pretty sure you will be happy and enjoy learning at your new school, inshaAllah!

A school where you play while you learn, where there is no homework and there is no exam because assessment is done continuously, where you have to clean the toilet and your class plus serve your friend food because the Japanese and Finland education are incorporated and many many more!

So grow well our dearest son, inshaAllah!

Grow wholesomely, and live true to your school motto -

Success in both worlds, InshaAllah Aamiin ya Rabb! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

Tariq woke up at 6.15am and is ready for school by 6.45am

Domesticating Tariq - Inspirational Story as a Parent

I am not done domesticating Tariq and suddenly it is the last day of school holidays!

Alhamdulillah for the school holidays but why must it ends so so fast? 😭😭😭

From tomorrow, Mama will temporarily lost my ‘plus one’ to go to market, to do groceries, to go window shopping, to go to bookstores, to just have tea and talk about Ultraman and Dinosaurs etc etc..

Not to mention belum sempat to teach Tariq how to boil water, cook rice and cook egg telur mata kerbau!

Surely Mama will get post school holidays blues tomorrow onwards😭😭😭

The house will suddenly feel so quiet..

Tariq follows Mama to market and learns how to choose fresh fish.
Another day in the market and another chance to practice his looking for fresh fish skill
Now following Mama to get supplies for some gardening work. But he got interested in the yellow construction helmet instead!
Taught Tariq the various types and varieties and how to choose electrical items like Toaster and Oven before we purchase them.

Tariq & Financial 101 - Inspirational Story as a Parent

Today Tariq did one of our end-of-the-year rituals.

He cracked open all his piggy banks in front of the Tabung Haji officer!

Tariq was so excited.

Beratnya Tabung (piggy bank) Tariq! Banyaknya duit Tariq.. !, he claimed excitedly after seeing the ‘mountain’ of coins he has in his piggy bank...

.... And not realizing the weighless RM1 is worth much more than that heavy 50cents syiling! Lol

While waiting for the Tabung Haji officer put Tariq’s coins thru the coin machine,

Tariq said to me.., Mama.. Tariq remember what Mama say Tariq must do with my money..

What is it, sayang..?, I asked

Mama said Tariq can use a bit to buy toys and books, and Tariq must give sedeqah a bit to help people, and Tariq must keep a bit also.., correct kan Mama..?

Alhamdulillah.. oh yes sayang.. very the correct!

I am so thankful that Tariq finally understood his Financial 101!

Especially the sedeqah charity part, which is the first lesson of How to Increase Wealth 101, inshaAllah God Willing! 😍

Trip to Mukah, Sarawak - Inspirational Story as a Parent

Just within 24 hours after we landed in Malaysia from our memorable Umrah trip, we were back in KLIA.

But this time, our destination was Mukah, Sarawak. One of my cousins got married to a Sarawakian😍

And Tariq was so excited to experience his very first Twin Otter flight!

Before the flight, Everyone was asked to step on a scale bcoz everyone’s weight must be recorded to make sure the Twin Otter can fly.

That was the only time I was traumatized! Haha

The sound of the engine was kinda deafening, and the fact that we were able to watch the pilots take off, fly and land the plane because there was no door between passenger and cockpit was outright thrilling!

It was a few times when the plane went ‘jumpy’ and we were all screaming happily as if we are on a roller coaster!

Of course, our hearts keep making shahadah too!

The plane flew so low that my brother’s phone has reception all the way.

There were 12 of us so it looks as if like we have chartered the whole plane.

At Mukah, we landed at the smallest airport we have ever been to.

Our Twin Otter was parked right infront of the airport door, it felt like a car parked infront of our house! Haha

And the airport building looks exactly like a single storey bungalow lot, I kid you not.

After Mukah, we went to Miri. And Tariq experienced his very first Iban Longhouse. We absolutely love the concept of longhouse.

We also visited one of the best Mini Crocodile Farm in Miri, visited the Grand Old Lady and watch the angry but beautiful waves of South China Sea at Coco Cabana.

Alhamdulillah, all in all, it was a wonderful trip to end a wonderful school holiday for Tariq and everyone!

Tariq got to experience kampung environment, unique flight experience, unique Iban culture, Allah’s beautiful nature and many more, alhamdulillah!

I pray that the neurons in his brain keeps making connection and firing actively right now inshaAllah πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Lastly, congrats to my beloved Aunty, my dad’s baby sister for menerima menantu pertama. Love you, Su! Juriah Ahmad😘😘😘
