So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart."

really nice to interact with u!
May Allah Guide us all to the Right Path, Aameen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23802780.post-37117179979747263012006-12-30T09:27:00.000+08:002006-12-30T09:27:00.000+08:00Bismillaah
As Salaamu 'alaykum,
Thank you for yo...Bismillaah

As Salaamu 'alaykum,

Thank you for your comment and feedback. It shows that you cared enough to share, InshaAllaah. Thank you :)

I would rather reply you privately but there was no contact address available and since you have published this publicly, i had to reply it publicly too. I am truly sorry for that. But i sincerely do need to state a few things here InshaAllaah, to rectify and perhaps clarify a few things:

1) My profile is not available for anyone to see. I have removed that portion sometime ago, therefore, sis/bro, InshaAllaah, if you have checked the blog before posting this comment, you would know that it is not for viewing anymore.

2) I am no scholar nor am i a knowledgeable person. My knowledge is not even worth a drop in the vast ocean. Therefore, in the subject of music i shall restrain for discussing it as i have read much about the various views of it, InshaAllaah. I do not wish to argue with you too because the view you put forward in music is valid, but, so does some who argues otherwise. So, inshaAllaah, i shall state clearly my limitation on this issue and would leave the discussion to the learned Muslims, InshaAllaah. Allaahu 'alaam.

3)I liked your view on watching movies. There are lots of truth in it. You are right. And i also felt that the reality of life is this. The movies in the theater are actually available outside the square box too. We see people free-mingling everywhere, not only in movies. We see others with hijab and non-hijab even if we walk on the street infront of our houses. And yes, when we do see something wrong, we should rectify it, InshaAllaah with the means that are possible for us. So, my point here is this, we have to live in our reality and be a good window of Islam to others, InshaAllaah. Also, we truly must learn from anything and everything that crosses our path. This means that if we see something bad, then, we should learn from it. And if we see something good, we should learn from it too, InshaAllaah. There are lessons in everything that we see around us, if we seek for the lessons to be learn. We do not live in a vacuum. But it is really up to a person or individual to be smart enough to differentiate between the glass and the diamond, regardless in whatever situation he or she is put in, InshaAllaah.

So, InshaAlaah, i value your feedback and i sincerely hope that we could interact further in the future, InshaAllaah, as you rightfully put at the end of your comment - enjoin on goodness and forbid what is wrong. :)

Allaahu 'alaam

Sis ZabrinaSis Zabrinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08073222720877671989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23802780.post-91483911942424874622006-12-30T05:18:00.000+08:002006-12-30T05:18:00.000+08:00Assalamualaikum.
sis zabrina, Mashallah you seem t...Assalamualaikum.
sis zabrina, Mashallah you seem to have a lot knowledge. and you are doing very good work, may Allah reward you in good in the Hereafter. Jazakallah Khair.
i went through your profile and saw that you are into movies and music(jazz, arab, international).maybe you are not aware sister, but listening to such music is Haram in Islam.
There is an authentic hadeeth in Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 69, Number 494 and it says --

Narrated By Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari : That he heard the Prophet saying,
"From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection."

please go to the following links to read further on this.
www.bilalphilips.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=61&Itemid=48

www.islamnewsroom.com/content/view/204/52/

as for the movies, which are mostly a work of fiction are a completely wasteful activity and work to corrupt the mind(just as with fiction-based novels). Even if you seem to be watching good, peaceful, family movies, they show actors and actresses who are in reality non-mahrams to one another, play charecters of mahrams and expose themselves without the proper hijaab and interact freely, all in the name of putting up a show! ask yourself-would Islam allow a woman to work as an actress? surely not! so when you see something which is wrong even for yourself, you even prohibit others from it, right?
i am sure u must have heard the hadith of the Prophet(pbuh) where he says that when you something wrong taking place, stop it with your hands; if not that, then with your tongue(by saying); if not that, then know it to be bad in your heart and move away from it, and this is the least of Eemaan.
hope i have not offended you in any way.
May Allah Forgive me and Forgive you, and Guide me and Guide you, Ameen.

Surah 3. Al-'Imran (The Family of 'Imran)
110. Ye(believers) are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23802780.post-61942131543989021272006-12-30T01:56:00.000+08:002006-12-30T01:56:00.000+08:00Bismillaah

May Allah help us all gain the benfits of these days,Aameen.
But sister, you have made a little error. no doubt the first ten days of Dhul-HIjjah are full of blessings and earn a lot of reward for the goods deeds therein, but the fasts are to kept only during the first nine days, because the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah is the day of Eid-al-Adha and it is forbidden to fast on the days of the two Eids.

SAHIH BUKHARI, Volume 3, Book 31, Number 211:
Narrated Abu 'Ubaid(the slave of Ibn Azhar), "I witnessed the 'Id with 'Umar bin Al-Kattab who said, Allah's Apostle has forbidden people to fast on the day on which you break fasting (the fasts of Ramadan) and the day on which you eat the meat of your sacrifices (the first day of 'Id ul Fitr and 'Id ul-Adha)."

May Allah Forgive us our errors and Guide us to the Right Path, Aameen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23802780.post-78855856742117535992006-12-28T23:37:00.000+08:002006-12-28T23:37:00.000+08:00Bismillaah
